Mikey landed himself a photo in the L.A. Times yesterday for the opening of the million dollar Stoner Recreation Center Skate Plaza in West L.A.

New skate park debuts in West L.A.

If you're in the SF area this Saturday the 28th grab your board and bring your appetite to Toad and Salmon's Chili Bowl 6 at Potrero Del Sol Skate Park.  11AM-5PM

The Volcom Demo popped off on Sunday at Sea Sk8 with all sun and no rain!  Mark Appleyard, Rune Glifberg, Caswell Berry, Aaron Suski, Louie Lopez and Grant Taylor killed it the hardest while Rowley, Dollin, Chima Ferguson and many others kicked it with the kids and made new friends.  This was one of the best demos to go down in a while.  Here's a pic or two to hold you over for now and hopefully there will be more to come.  Check Aaron Suski here with a flawless Stale Fish!

Our homies Josh Mohs from Mosaik Skate Shop and Patrick from Megapolis Skate Shop have some tricks in the Agenda Unified session that took place at The Berrics last week. Good to see all the shop owners ripping!

Mr. Michael Burton has really gone Hollywood folks. It looks like he was either taking notes on the trick selection or trying to determine if his pop is on par with that of Pudwill's at the recent M.J. vs T-Puds BATB3 game of skate. Either way we're happy Mikey is down in CA enjoying the good life and getting in tons of skating!

Chris Jameson emailed in this little "Throwout Montage" and I was thoroughly impressed.  If these are the throwouts, I'm really excited to see the footage that these guys kept.  What are they going to do with the footy?  I don't know, we'll have to see!

We usually don't run skatepark pics for Pic O' the Week but this Switch Heel of Bobby Dodd is only half of a skatepark photo since he is doing it out of the skatepark and into the Seattle Center.  This would be a satisfactory ollie for most but this is just par for the course for Bobby.  This photo may also be run in Toby Coughlin's "Heavily into Gymnastics" fanzine along with tons of other awesome street photos and humorous essays about real things and also figments of the imagination!  Stay tuned!

It was nice to have (not so) little Griffin Gass in town to help out at Innerspace last week for skate camps.  It appears that Palm Springs has been treating him well which is apparent by this Kickflip Bs 5-0.  He was also able to get a few clips with Mike for the upcoming Innerspace Video.  For those of you with children, there are only a few weeks left of camp at Innerspace so get those Lil' Timmies signed up before it's too late!

Shane Auckland has been doing Big Things lately.  Steve Berra even let him take some time off to head back up to the Great Pacific Northwest and here's a lil' video he put together which features all the homeys including Mikey Burton!  STEAK AND LEGS

Gershon Mosley is one of the best skateboarders I've ever witnessed in real life form.  Here he is killing SeaSk8 with a couple of my favorite locals and a couple of newcomers.  Ryan Aningalen kills it and so do the kelly brothers!  PARK RANGER

The Red Bull Rivals was a smashing success last Saturday.  Here's a quick recap of Seattle's skating put together by Ian Bugbee.  Stay tuned for more coverage that will include the Portland skating also.  We'll let you decide later who you think should have won but Washington definitely brought home a fat trophy for first place and we got a thousand bucks toward Marginal Way!  Check out Ian's video here.  RED BULL RIVALS
